4 November 2012 - Rubbish Collection in Taman Matahari Cerah Rubbish that contain toxic component may affect environment in many different ways such as pollution , destroy the habitat of flora and fauna . The objective of rubbish collecting are keeping our environment clean and maximize environment friendly opportunities . The first place that I carried out rubbish collection is Taman Matahari Cerah , my neighborhood . The rubbish that I had collected include plastic bags , food and beverage containers , papers and so on . Some of them such as papers and aluminium tin are able to be recycled . People throw rubbish everywhere everyday without consider the effect of the rubbish . Even a small rubbish can cause huge effect to the environment . Therefore , please throw the rubbish inside the dustbin not everywhere . As a part of environment , we have responsibility to protect and love our environment.

6 November 2012 - Pusat Jagaan Rapat , Ipoh Pusat jagaan rapat is located in Gunung Rapat , Ipoh . Two workers are hired in this centre to take care of total 17 old folks which include 3 males and 14 females . The purpose of visit this centre is to understand the lifestyle of the eldest and to develop value of caring and love . Old folks in this centre will wake up at 6.30 am every morning and take turn to take bath . After that , they having their healthy breakfast together at 7.00 am and lunch at 11.30 am . After meal is the leisure time for them to carry out different kind of activities such as reading newspaper , listen to the radio , watching television , take a nap and exercise . Dinner time at 5.30 pm and sleep at 8.00 pm . Old folk in this centre have a regular time table thereby having a good lifestyle such as eat healthy and exercise regularly .

9 November 2012 - 3Q MRC Junior Concert 3Q MRC is one of the kindergarten school in my neighborhood . Teaching centre for children ranging from 3 years old to 6 years old . The kindergarten school had organized a graduate night for their student . I act as a volunteer to help them in order to make sure that the concert can carry out smoothly . The concert started at 7.30 pm . I reached there at 4.30 pm and do the preparation before the concert start such as help them for makeup and comb their hair tidy . All the children prepare well and the concert were carried out smoothly . All of us enjoy the concert very well .

12 November 2012 - Rubbish Collection in Taman Desa Corina Malaysian have produce average 0.8 kilograms waste per person per days . Most of the waste are not throw in the proper ways . For instance , some of the people just throw the rubbish at the roadside . This may affect our environment and finally human will suffer from it . The objective of rubbish collecting are keeping our environment clean and maximize environment friendly opportunities . The second place that I carried out rubbish collection is Taman Desa Corina , 5 minutes drive from my house . The rubbish that I had collected include plastic bags , food and beverage containers , and papers . Some of them such as papers and aluminium tin are recyclable . In conclusion , we need to protect our environment and minimize production of waste that may cause serious drawback to the environment .

15 November 2012 - Pertubuhan Pengurusan Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim Dan Miskin “Anning” Ipoh Bao En Shi is an umbrella for Anning recycling centre , Anning old folk’s home and Anning children’s home . I decided to visit Anning children‘s home in Ipoh during the semester 3 break . Anning children’s home was established in January 2009 . Anning children’s home take care of the children that are orphan or come from single parent family or from poor family . The children in this centre ranging from 3 month old to 18 years old . Now , Anning children’s home are hire 8 workers to take care of total 33 children which include 20 males and 13 females . Before that , I had collect some unwanted story books , reference books , stationeries , clothes and some toys from my house . When I visit the centre , I donate the things to the centre . Hopefully , the things that I donate to them are able to improve the quality of their life .

17 November 2012 - Tree planting Nowadays , there are a lot of forests are being exploited for industry and agriculture use . Therefore , I done the tree planting in my neighborhood in order to save our environment and make a green space in my neighborhood . Trees can bring a lot of benefit to human . Trees can make human life nicer since green trees are able to reduce stress when we spending time together among the green spaces . Furthermore , trees also offer a lot of environmental benefits such as produce fresh oxygen to the living things . Trees also play an importance role to improve the quality of air through filtering the harmful dust and pollutants . In the addition , trees are able to combat the greenhouse effect . Tree planting bring a lot of advantages especially toward environment and human . Save the environment , plant more trees .

21 November 2012 - Visit Orang Asli Village - KG Sgai Kuala Denkong WCT Kampung Sgai Kuala Denkong WCT is an orang asli village in Cameron Highlands , 20 minutes drive from my house . The aims I visit this village is to improve my value of caring and sharing . I had brought some snack for the children . All the children enjoy the snack . After that , we sang some song together like ABCD and twinkle twinkle little star . Most of them are familiar with the songs thereby it is not difficult to teach them to sing the songs . Besides that , I also played some game with them . All of us enjoy the meaningful day .

22 November 2012 - Visit Orang Asli Village - KG Sengsang Kampung Sengsang is the second orang asli village that I visited . This village also located in Cameron Highlands , 15 minutes drive from my house . The purpose that I visit this village is to understand their lifestyle and improve my value of caring and sharing . I also brought some snack for the children . The children in this village felt very happy when they enjoy their snack . Now is the season for durian , I helped them to collect the durian that fell on the ground . Then we tied the durians together and placed them at the roadside for sell . At the end , we had sold out all the durians .

26 November 2012 - The Perak Chinese Welfare Association The Perak Chinese Welfare Association is located in Simpang Pulai . This centre take care of 58 old folks who their family are not able to take care of them . The objective that I visit this centre are to develop a sense of community and improve my value of caring and sharing . The old folks watching television and read newspaper during their free time . All of them are friendly and they are very enjoy when chatting with me . They told me their story and experience . I learn a lot after chatting with them .

29 November 2012 - Rubbish Collection in Sungai Ikan The objective of rubbish collecting are keeping our environment clean and maximize environment friendly opportunities . The third place that I carried out rubbish collection is Sungai Ikan , 10 minutes drive from my house . The rubbish that I had collected include plastic bags , food and beverage containers , papers and so on . Some of them are recyclable such as papers ,glass bottle and aluminium tin . Then , I divided the rubbishes into recyclable and non-recyclable . At last , I discarded the non-recyclable waste into dustbin .

30 November 2012 - Recycling Recycle is defines as processing used materials into a new product in order to reduce pollution , save energy and save cost . Furthermore , recycle is able to reduce the use of raw materials . Nowadays , recycling has become very popular in our country . Government and non-government have carry out a lot of activities to boost recycling among the public . The objective of doing recycling are reduce waste that produce and maximize recyclability . I had collect recyclable materials such as aluminium tins , plastic bottles , newspapers and glass bottles from my house . After that , I gave all of them to the lorry that collect recycling materials . The money that collect from the recyclable materials will give to their orphan and old folk centre in order to improve the quality of their life . In a nutshell , recycling is one of the main solutions to save our mother earth . As a part of our mother earth , we should more active and enthusiastic toward recycling .

2 December 2012 - Cleaning Pasar Kampung Raja It had been raining hard all day . The heavy rain has caused floods in my neighborhood . There was a lot of mud brought from the river by the rain water. Therefore , I act as a volunteer to clean up the place . One of the place that I clean up is the Pasar Kampung Raja . Many citizen involved in this cleaning process . Fortunately , we get help from the fireman . They used the pipe to clean up the mud thereby we can cleaned up the place more easily .

7 December 2012 - Rubbish Collection in Kampung Raja The main objective of rubbish collection is to keep our environment clean . Beside the rubbish collection , I also maximize the recycling among the rubbish that I had collected . The forth place that I carried out rubbish collection is Kampung Raja , 3 minutes drive The objective of rubbish collecting are keeping our environment clean and maximize environment friendly opportunities . The forth place that I carried out rubbish collection is Kampung Raja , 3 minutes drive from my house . In a nutshell , we have responsibility to save our environment and keep our environment clean .

16 December 2012 - Handicap Children’s Welfare Home Handicap Children’s Welfare Home is located in Ipoh . This centre take care of 66 people who are handicap , mental or physical disable . The youngest in this centre only 13 years old whereas the oldest is 66 years old . They are being divided into three group , less severe , medium and severe . They use 20kg rice and 80 diaper per day , quite a high cost . I visit this centre is to improve my value of love and caring . Most of them having problem in eating . Therefore , the food they eat need to cut into small piece in order to make sure that they can swallow and digest the food . Some of them have problem to walk thereby they only can sitting on the chair . They need other to help them when they need to move to another place .

21 - 22 December 2012 - Pertubuhan Pengurusan Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim Dan Miskin “Anning” , Ipoh Before visit the Anning Children’s Home , I decided to make cupcake for the children . The ingredient include eggs , flour , butter and sugar . I divided it into 40 portion since the centre having 33 children thereby all of them can get one of the cupcakes . Finally , I used chocolate to decorate the cupcakes . Hopefully , they can enjoy my homemade cupcakes . The next day , I visited the centre with the cupcakes that I had made on previous day . The children look happily when I reached the centre . Some of them recognise me since this was the second time I visited the centre . During free time , we coloured the colouring book together . Some of the children were watching television . Some of them were grouped together to playing game . All of us were enjoy the moment .

27 December 2012 - People’s Voluntary Corps (RELA) Temple Guan Ti are celebrate their 44th anniversary in Tringkap . There are a lot of activities were carried out such as sing and dance performance and Guangdong Opera . All the citizen involve in the event . Therefore , People’s voluntary Corps play an importance role to maintain peace and security throughout the event . I act as a volunteer to join the group and help them to maintain the peace and prevent happen of accident . Fortunately , the event were carried out smoothly and no accident happen during the activities . All of us are enjoy the event .

Conclusion After finish 20 community-based activities , I had learn a lot and gain experiences from the activities . I take chance to improve my planning and organization skills . In the addition , I also have opportunity to improve the value of caring and sharing . Obviously , I am very enjoy this 20 communities-based activities .
